This is the story of why DEO exists — and how a simple morning ritual went from one London kitchen to your mug.
Why DEO exists
Simple, whole ingredients. Done well.
DEO was born from a simple idea: proactive health shouldn't feel complicated, time-consuming or overwhelming.
There's more health information, supplements and wellness products than ever before. But after years of researching, testing and trying first-hand, I kept coming back to the same place: simple, whole ingredients done well.
I've worked in fast-paced tech in London and the US for over a decade. Like a lot of people, I care deeply about my health — but finding the time to do everything properly can be another story.
The turning point
Fresh organic ginger root. Juicy lemons that actually works.
I tried the health shots. Most felt more like juice than the punchy, fresh ginger hit I wanted. So I started making my own.
I'd spend a couple of hours washing, preparing and blending whole ginger, keeping the fibre, then squeezing fresh lemons and freezing everything into little rounded drops. One batch could keep me stocked for months.
Every morning became ridiculously easy
Drop. Add water. Drink.
A fresh, fiery little ritual without the chopping, squeezing, washing up or half-used ginger dying in the fridge.
The realisation
I've been making them for years. Then friends started asking for them. Then neighbours. And eventually I realised the obvious:
People want to make healthier choices — they just need those choices to be easier.
So I created DEO.

Not by adding more complexity, but by removing it.
We obsess over great ingredients, preparation and convenience so you don't have to. DEO is about turning simple whole foods into everyday rituals that genuinely fit into busy lives.
